#PROOF OF THE WEEK

SC began her Posturology process September 26th. It had been many years that she was suffering from left shoulder and hip pain. In 6 weeks, her hip pain was already much better. 6 weeks later, she had no more pain at rest in her shoulder. She was also able to perform shoulder abduction, which was impossible beforehand. To add to it, the quality of her sleep has improved. What is most impressive is that her internal age, as measured by the iheart monitor, has decreased from 67 to 54 years of age. SC is 62 years old. For more information about this measure, visit: www.goiheart.com.

WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION: from 47% (R) 53% (L) to 49% (R) 51% (L).

BALANCE: from 20 to 18 in 6 weeks.

INTERNAL AGE: from 67 to 54 years old. SC is 62 years old.

MA began Posturology March 9th, 2017. He was complaining of lower back pain, neck pain and issues with his shoulder and knee. It was specifically his left trapezius that was giving him the hardest time. As time went on, his various symptoms have improved and he has been able to increase his activity level.

WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION: from 62% to 52% on his forefeet in 6 weeks.

2)

It has been since July that I have been working with JL. She came in with serious frequent low back pain. She would have a hard time crouching and sitting up. She would say: I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders. She could not do any work overhead. As of October, she saw an improvement in her shoulder and back symptoms. More recently, this progress can be quantified.

WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION: from 79% to 75% of weight on her forefeet.

CL came to see me in July of 2017. She would complain of hip and shoulder pain. The hip pain was worse when she would carry heavy bags as she was shopping. Recently, we have seen progress in how long she can shop for and the reduction of pain in her hips. Here are her most recent numbers:

WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION: 45% (R) and 55% (L) to 49% (R) and 51% (L) in the last 6 weeks.

2)

JL came to see me in February of 2017. He came in with a history of repetitive lumbar sprains. He would have to miss work and avoid certain physical activities that pain would get so bad. Just about a year later, he reports that he can perform more physical tasks and that he does not even feel the precursor signs of lumbar sprain. As well, his right arm does not bug him anymore as he is sitting at a desk to work on the computer the whole day.

BALANCE SCORE: 22 to 20 in the last 6 weeks.

JF came to my office on June 20th, 2017 with mechanical pain in his back, shoulders and knees. He had tried physiotherapy, osteopathy and massage therapy. As of August 15th, he can see a positive change in how he can perform at the bench press. He also notices that he has seen a general increase in energy. On November 21st, his right knee (which was injured) is doing much better. Here is his recent progression:

BALANCE SCORE: 10 to 8 in 6 weeks.

MF got started with Posturology in February of 2017. She had been suffering from back pain for the last twenty years, since having her child. When the pain was at its worse, she would have to lei down. Already, by April, her back was improving, as she did not have to take frequent breaks from her daily activities. By July, she felt more solid on her feet. More recently, we can see that her balance keeps improving!

BALANCE SCORE: 27 to 24 in 6 weeks.

2)

DT came to the office for the first time May 25th, 2017. He was managing chronic low back and shoulder issues. He could not lift weights for strength gains and his long-term objective was to participate in MMA training. To make matters worse, he had pain in his knees with running. In July, his muscular stiffness improved. As of November 15th, his shoulder was a lot less sensitive to training and his back is doing much better. Here are his recent numbers:

BALANCE SCORE: 17 to 12 in 6 weeks.

#PROOF OF THE WEEK

1)

AC just finished his 1-year Posturology program. She was diagnosed with scoliosis that year and came in with back pain. Some researchers actually see that the vestibular system could be involved in the development of scoliosis (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25430569).

It happened to be that she had a very difficult time with the Romberg test in her initial evaluation session. 12 months have passed and while we were not able to avoid a surgical procedure, her back pain had diminished progressively as the year unfolded. He hip mobility in her squat was also better as time went on.

She was recently told that her recuperation from the surgery was twice as fast as it is usually. All in all, we keep making gains!

WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION: in 6 weeks, we went from 67% of her weight on her forefeet to 59%.

2)

CF came to the office just about a year ago with neck pains that could get so bad that she had a difficult time sleeping. It took about 8-9 months to stabilize her case where, at this point, she really only feels discomfort when she rotates her neck maximally.

BALANCE SCORE: 22 to 16 in 6 weeks.

He complains at the time of pain while he works but also in his sporting activities. 6 weeks later, he reports not having any symptoms, independently of activity. More recently, his values are only improving!

BALANCE SCORE: 27 to 2 in 6 weeks.

3)

We had told my client EL to run on his mid foot and that it would reduce the pain in his heel when he played ball hockey. I advised him to wear a minimalist shoe and to simply not think about how he runs. The result: 0 pain! More so, he is more balanced and stable as time passes on.

WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION: in 6 weeks, we went from 61% of his bodyweight on his forefeet to 55%.

BALANCE SCORE: 14 to 10 in 6 weeks.

BB is a young at heart retired man that enjoys gardening and talking long walks with his wife on sunny afternoons. Our #1 challenge is BB is balance. You must know that, as we age, we simply become unstable. We must fight this process as best as we can in order to prevent falls. Here are his results in the last 6 weeks:

BALANCE SCORE: 85 to 64 in 6 weeks.

2)

AB is a phenomenal tennis player. He actually started Posturology because he had abandoned playing tennis. The cause was chronic pain. WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION: in 6 weeks, he went from 75% of bodyweight on his forefeet to 53%.
